Scotia Handcrafted Essence (Safety in Dark, Unseen & Uncertain Territory)

₱777.00

Darkness is not always danger. Sometimes it is simply the place where the path has not yet disclosed itself.

Scotia is a small-batch Hekatean essence for keeping your footing when the road feels dark, unfamiliar, spiritually active, or difficult to read. Its work is not to make every unseen presence disappear. Its work is steadiness, orientation, and safe passage.

Artifact Introduction

Named for Hekate Scotia—the Dark One, this essence honors the goddess who does not despise darkness or confuse it automatically with evil. She moves through twilight, night, depth, and mystery without surrendering discernment.

The sigil on the label is incorporated into the bottle’s ritual preparation, and each small batch is consecrated as part of the making process.

What’s Inside / Why It Exists

White musk creates a soft, close-wearing veil—a sense of being accompanied without becoming conspicuous.

Myrrh brings gravity, sacred depth, and an old association with funerary and threshold rites.

Blackberry and bay combine tangled boundary energy with the authority to name a direction and proceed.

Cypress steadies encounters with endings, liminal places, and the quiet presence of the dead.

Choose This If

  • You are traveling at night or entering an unfamiliar place.

  • You are moving through a season whose outcome you cannot yet see.

  • You expect to be in a cemetery, wake, ancestral space, or spiritually active environment.

  • You want safety and discernment without treating every spirit as an enemy.

  • You need a ritual reminder to move slowly, observe clearly, and keep your agency.

  • Special note: Choose if you need a companion and protection during August Ghost Month

Ritual Use

Shake gently, then mist around your body before night travel, threshold work, ancestral practice, or entering a place that feels difficult to read. Name where you are going and ask for sound judgment, clear signals, and safe return.

I do not need to see the whole road to take the next true step.

Scotia may also be worked with during periods of hiding, uncertainty, grief, or transition—times when remaining unseen or moving quietly is wiser than forcing immediate clarity.

Available Form & Pre-Order

30 ml handcrafted ritual essence spray in a glass bottle. Its light aromatic concentration sits closer to a body splash or light eau de cologne than an eau de toilette.

Choose Pre-order Aug 20 to reserve from the August 20 batch. On-Hand is listed separately whenever finished bottles are immediately available.

The Hekataeon Current

This essence grew from my personal study and devotional practice with The Hekataeon by Jack Grayle—a modern devotional grimoire and hymnal presenting a self-initiatory ritual system centered on Hekate, her epithets, sigils, spirits, and gnosis.

The label sigil and consecration are approached in respectful conversation with that current. This is an independent adaptation: not an official product, reproduction, substitute for the text, or representation of its complete initiatory system. I have translated selected symbolic and devotional ideas into an accessible, self-led ritual tool; the formula and application are my own. Galerie RBerry is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jack Grayle or the publisher of The Hekataeon.

What It Is Not

Scotia is not a guarantee of supernatural protection, a method for provoking spirits, or permission to ignore practical safety. It is a symbolic aid for navigation, boundaries, and deliberate movement through uncertain terrain.

Maker’s Note

I made Scotia for the territories that cannot be brightly lit on demand. There are times when safety comes from seeing everything—and times when it comes from knowing how to listen in the dark.

Move quietly. Notice carefully. Return safely.

Safety

External use only. Spray into the air or around the body. Patch test before skin contact. Avoid eyes, face, broken skin, flame, heat, children, and pets. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Ritual tools support self-led practice; they are not medical, psychiatric, legal, or emergency advice.
